THE OFFICE HOURS WILL BE
10:30am TO 2:30pm
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Ladies and Gentlemen,
On behalf of The Affton Athletic Association Executive Board I would like to thank you for your patience thus far as we work through this unprecedented situation. AAA is committed to continuing to provide you with a safe place to play Softball and Baseball this year, unfortunately there are still many variables that we do not have control over. It is with that in mind that AAA is offering those of you that want refunds a chance to submit your requests. The deadline for submission is June 1. We will then see how many teams are left and solidify a plan going forward. If we are not able to play at all this year due to lack of interest or restrictions, we will issue refunds to those remaining teams.
The deadline for the first phase of refunds will be June 1, you will need to have your requests submitted to the office. We will need an email from each person or team wanting a refund sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following:
Team Name (Select) or Child's Name (House)
Person to whom the refund check should be made out to
Current mailing address
Refunds will be made alphabetically starting June 5. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for processing.
We are not using volunteers in the concession stand so all concession deposit checks we have received will be shredded. If you bought out and are going to continue to play your $75 will be refunded once all above requests have been processed. We will also be canceling our Raffle this year. Please discard any Raffle tickets you may have.
For those of you that wish to donate your refund or part of it to AAA we thank you. Please include a message that you do not wish to play but would like to make your registration fee or part of it a donation.
For those that wish to continue please consider the following:
Our plan is to initiate a season on July 6th depending on further guidance from Saint Louis County.
Once we get response from all teams there are several options for us to proceed. As follows:
Schedule a shortened season with 2 games per week that would conclude in time for a Fall Season to start in August.
Schedule an extended hybrid season that would run July through September in lieu of a fall season.
Add tournaments hosted by Affton Athletic during the week up until which time a scheduled season can commence.
Any season that starts this summer or fall may do so under modified rules, which is not our preference but may be required. Affton Athletic has secured additional mobile hand washing stations to be placed throughout the complex in complex with recommendations. The concession stand will be staffed with only paid employees who will be required to wear masks and gloves until guidance states otherwise. In addition, we will purchase thermometers so we can monitor all paid employees including umpires and field crew.
We anticipate our House Program with individual registration may experience a large number of players unwilling to participate this summer/fall. If any teams are left unable to field a team due to this situation, Affton will make every effort to assist in combining teams or players to complete a roster. If this should be the case, rules regarding player uniforms will be relaxed.
Practice Fields: The permits that Affton obtains for the House Program use of practice fields expire at the end of June. The fields will not be available for use until permission to do so has been received from Saint Louis County. We will be unable to provide fields for practice after June.
There will most likely be limited or no rain out make up dates due to the late start of the season. This will be determined once we know how many teams are willing to continue.
We know there are still many unanswered questions. This is an attempt to give you as much information as possible to make a decision on what's best for you and your family. AAA is committed to providing you with a safe and enjoyable environment to create lasting memories for you and your child. We are very excited to share with you the many improvements that have been made to our complex and want to give those of you that want to play this year a chance to do so. Further information and guidelines will be provided once available.
